Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Start Date: 08/03/21

Daily Rate: GBP60-80/day

The Sheffield Primary Team of Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to appoint a experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a role in an ‘outstanding’ school in South Sheffield.

Role responsibilities:

  • Working under the guidance of senior leadership to implement interventions and 1:1 work programmes (both in and out of the classroom)
  • Collaborating with the class teacher to assist the effective delivery of the lesson plans
  • Helping plan and set up classroom and outdoor activities to facilitate learning in alignment with the curriculum
  • Maintaining good classroom behaviour and minimising disruptions
  • Ensuring that pupils are engaged in the class and keep on track with work

The ideal candidate will have:

  • NVQ 3 For Teaching Assistants (or equivalent) - ESSENTIAL
  • Other relevant training, eg. Phonics & Maths Interventions, Makaton, Team Teach, Additional Language fluency – DESIRABLE
  • First Aid Training – DESIRALBE

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
