Teaching Assistant

Job description

I am working on behalf of a client Secondary School located in Scarborough, who is looking for a General Classroom Teaching Assistant to support their pupils from September 2019. The position for a General Teaching Assistant in Scarborough will be full-time and, although initially it will be on a supply basis, it will become permanent after a qualifying period.

The successful applicant will have the following:

  • Previous experience of working in an educational setting
  • Full time availability
  • Minimum of 3 GCSE's qualification, including English and Maths
  • Outgoing personality, able to speak to pupils as well as senior members of staff in school
  • Commitment to supporting pupils both emotionally and academically

The pay will depend on your experience, starting form a minimum of £9.50 per hour. You will be expected to work between 8.00 am and 2.30pm Monday to Friday, during term time.
