Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work at a local school in the Bradford BD4 area. The school prides itself on its professional and high-standard delivery of learning to pupils with SEN. Teaching is delivered on a one-to-one or small group basis with an emphasis on respecting individuality and motivating pupils to be expressive in a respectable manner.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with pupils with SEN as you may have to adapt quickly to individual pupil’s needs and provide strong support in what can sometimes be a challenging environment.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you must:

-          Have experience working with SEN children

-          Be resilient when providing support in challenging environments

-          Recognise gaps in learning and respond sensitively to individual pupils needs

-          Have the ability to engage pupils in their learning

-          Possess a calming and friendly manor to build relationships with pupils and staff

-          Work pro actively to respond to pupils needs

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will:

-          Demonstrate a good understanding of SEN

-          Be motivated to provide outstanding teaching support to SEN pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
