Job description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a client school in Longsight, Manchester (M13). The school are looking for a support assistant to work with a year 5 child with ADHD on a 1:1 basis. The post is to start in April and will run up until then end of the academic year initially with the opportunity to work on to a school based contract for the right person!

The school is looking for a dedicated practitioner, who has prior experience supporting children who display challenging behaviours. Academically, the child performs well but requires 1:1 support to ensure that they are on task at all times. The child regularly displays challenging behaviours which can be de-escalated if triggers are noticed early. To be considered for this post, you will have a relaxed/approachable attitude and will be able to build a strong relationship with the child.

This is a small, Church of England Primary School in the Longsight area of Manchester (M13). The school are dedicated to creating a 'stimulating, caring and supportive environment which meets the needs of every individual' and is looking for an enthusiastic practitioner to work in their Year 5 class on a full time basis.

To be considered for this post you must have recent and relevant experience supporting children who display challenging behaviour in an educational capacity, or equivalent.
