Role: Science Technician
Location: Washington
Start date: September 2023
Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a Science Technician to join one of our client secondary schools in Washington area to start in September 2023.
This role is ideal for graduates with a Science background, particularly laboratory-based graduates, as the role consists of preparing and working with chemicals and laboratory equipment for lessons. Technicians are also required to ensure that chemicals are stored and handled in accordance with health and safety procedures and ae safely set up for classroom experiments.
The Oftsed rated 'Good' 11-16 Academy, based in Washington, offers a forward-thinking, exciting and happy school environment with high aspirations for all.
About this role:
- Full-time Science Technician
- Post starting September 2023 (or sooner if possible)
- 11-16 secondary school located in Washington
- Competitve daily rates of pay (£400 - £475 per week depending on experience)
Candidate requirements:
- Educated to degree-level in a Science subject
- Experience working in a scientific lab environment
- Must possess a DBS on the update service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS (Child Workforce Only)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
