Our Primary School is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 2 team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who need support to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Key Stage 2)
Location: Colne
Contract Type: Full-time
Start Date: October 2025
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities and differentiated instruction
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social skills development
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to implement EHCPs and behaviour plans
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and safe classroom environment

You will need to have:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary school setting
  • A good understanding of child development and the KS2 curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, positive, and flexible approach
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
