SEN Teaching Assistant 

Location: PR3 area.
Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Contract: 14-week temporary assignment with a permanent offer available for the right candidate.

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs? We’re expanding our specialist pool of educators and are looking for committed SEN Teaching Assistants to support a highly respected residential SEN provision in the PR3 area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who thrive in a nurturing, structured environment and who are motivated by helping students reach their full potential. You’ll work closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team, providing tailored support that encourages learning, emotional development, and independence.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students with a range of needs including autism, social and emotional difficulties, communication challenges, and complex behavioural needs. Your role will involve:

  • Assisting with classroom activities and personalised learning plans

  • Providing emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day

  • Helping students develop social, life, and communication skills

  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and support workers

  • Creating a safe, calm, and engaging learning environment

This position offers a 14 week contract with a clear pathway to a permanent contract if you build positive relationships and demonstrate a strong fit within the team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
