Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistants needed! 

Teaching Personnel are working closesly with specialist settings in Burnley that are seeking dedicated and compassionate Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistants to join their specialist team on an agency basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive SEN setting, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.

We are looking for a committed individual who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people and who can contribute positively to our inclusive and nurturing school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs

  • Support pupils’ learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation

  • Assist with personal care where required

  • Implement behaviour support plans and EHCP targets

  • Promote positive relationships, independence, and inclusion within the classroom

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and the SENCO

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, or youth work backgrounds welcomed)

  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Confidence supporting pupils with challenging behaviour

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
