Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Job description
HLTA Opportunity – Cardiff (CF11) – 3 to 5 Days a Week
We are working with a fantastic, welcoming primary school in the CF11 area of Cardiff who are looking for a confident, passionate, and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September.
This is a flexible role offering 3 to 5 days a week depending on your availability, with long-term opportunities and the potential for a permanent contract for the right person.
About the Role:

Leading whole class sessions across the school when needed, with planning provided.

Supporting teaching staff with small group interventions and targeted support.

Working closely with pupils across Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2.

Assisting with planning, preparation, and assessment under the guidance of class teachers.

A valued role within a friendly, forward-thinking team who are committed to pupil progress and wellbeing.
About You:
-
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience leading whole class sessions.

Confident managing a classroom environment and delivering engaging sessions.
-
Adaptable and flexible to work across different age groups.
-
A positive, reliable team player with excellent communication skills.
-
Previous experience working within primary education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
