Teaching Personnel are an agency who are currently looking to recruit a number of Key Stage 1 Teachers to assist our client schools in their supply needs. Candidates post NQT and Teach First Graduate are encouraged to apply.

With the effects of COVID-19 the need for supply teachers across the Sittingbourne area is even more robust than usual. Schools are looking for experienced Class Teachers to provide good quality cover to ensure pupils continue to make good progress following the lock-down.

We are currently searching for Key Stage 1 Teachers, from February Half Term 2021. Year group allocation would depend on the applicant’s placement history and specialism. Candidate’s should be familiar with Phonics- in particular the Jolly Phonics, Read Write Inc and Letter and Sounds Schemes of Work. Opportunities do exist for longer-term placements should applicants wish to pursue this at a later date.

We are looking for candidates in and around the Swale area; including, Sittingbourne, Faversham, Minster, and the Isle of Sheppy. We work very closely with our client schools to ensure we find you the best possible roles in schools which will compliment your own style as a practitioner.

In addition to the above you will be working with your own dedicated consultant who will be working hard to find the perfect roles for you. We offer competitive rates of pay and don’t forget our referral scheme which offers you up to GBP50 per successful candidate!

What to expect from applicants?

We are looking for exceptionally dedicated Teachers who want to make an impact on the lives of the pupils they work with. Working with these young people means you can make a real and significant impact on their lives and that’s what being a teacher is all is about- Ambition and a commitment to school community is key!

We would like applicants to have demonstrative experience in working with Key Stage 1, knowledge of Development Matters Framework and Phonics. Familiarity with specific schemes of work such as Jolly Phonics, Phonics Screening Tests and Year 2 SAT’s is preferrable but not essential.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:
• Hold a relevant UK Teaching Qualification with QTS
• Knowledge of the UK Primary Curriculum
• Able and willing to travel to the Swale area
• Exceptionally dedicated to supporting pupils achieve the very best through an all-inclusive curriculum

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
