Experienced Teaching Assistant – Autism - Huyton

Do you have experience working with children with autism? 

Do you feel comfortable working with children with complex SEN needs?

A mainstream primary school located in Huyton, are looking for an experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, to work one to one with a pupil with autism in Year 2. The role is set to begin immediately after Christmas (January), full time Monday – Friday, until the end of the academic year in July 2020. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with individuals with autism, and be confident working one to one on a long term basis.

The school are looking for someone who can commit to the role, and remain consistent for continuity for the pupil.

The role:

  • Start date, January 2020
  • Full time fixed term contract
  • Huyton area
  • Salary GBP60 - GBP75 per day
  • Monday – Friday

This school has been graded a ‘Good’ school by Ofsted, and the SENCO is seeking a bubbly, bright and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team.

 The ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with individuals with autism
  • Experienced working alongside children with lower level learning and special educational needs
  • Experience with the primary curriculum
  • Hard working and committed to supporting children with a variety of learning needs
  • Patient and supportive manner

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
