Inclusion Support Worker required to support Autism in specialist school in Bradford

We are looking for individuals who have the drive and passion to assist pupils with additional needs at a school in Bradford. The pupils have complex needs from moderate to severe learning difficulties that will require very specific assistance with personal care and academic support with learning.

As a learning support assistant (LSA) you will be required to provide specific support, dependant on the individual pupils, deal with the personal care and comfort of pupils as required in relation to health, hygiene, toileting and administering of medicines and who can build up a rapport with the pupils to promote inclusion.

Experience within a school and direct experience working with children is desired but not essential as we also look for a background knowledge in areas such as social care and youth work. Particular personal or professional experience of supporting individuals with Autism is highly desirable as is an understanding of the complexities related to the behaviour in this condition.
