Job description

We are looking to hire Tutors to add to our supply books, who are able to take on council based referals.

 

As Tutor you have the opportunity to make a profound difference to young people who are currently not accessing mainstream education. Reasons behind this may vary; Special needs, social and emoitonal needs, behaviour issues, care issues or EAL. Your responsibilities will include;

  • Provide 1 - 2 hours of tuition per week day, in Maths and English
  • Build rapport and find a comfortable pace for the student
  • Support with additional needs as well as education

To be considered for Tutition referals you must;

  • Have QTS or Tuition experience
  • A knowledge of Mathematics and English up to GCSE Level
  • Adaptability and pragmatism, to manage behaviours/ additional needs
  • A patient and open approach to your student
  • Ability to travel to the site of tuition

 

Tuition is refered to us on an Ad Hoc basis by local authorities and usually lasts for up to one term, but can be extended depending on how the student is progressing.

Supplies and resources are not provided but can be claimed back for.

 

 

Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later
