Teaching Assistant

An Alternative Provision based in the NG13 area are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work on site every Wednesday, until the end of July 2020.

The Provision is based in NG13 and and offers support for students aged 10 to 18 years of ages who present with ASC, Anxiety and Attachment Disorders. They are based on 'Farm like' outdoors setting and use Animals to offer pastoral support to encourage communication and problem solving skills. You must feel comfortable with the following Animals, Horses, Mice, Chickens, Dogs, Snakes and a Lizard.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant would have the follow skills:

  • Experience working in an SEN School or Alternative Provision Setting
  • Experience supporting students and young people with a variety of SEN
  • Available 9am to 4pm
  • Experience working with Horses is ideal but not essential
  • Desire to make a difference to students education regardless of their ability
  • Be comfortable working in the outdoors

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
