Do you live in West Yorkshire and would like to work in local schools? Are you seeking paid classroom experience in education? Have you got experience of working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant?
Due to an increase in demand of support staff within secondary schools in the new academic year (Sep 2021), I am recruiting Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to join our bank of talented support staff who can work in secondary schools across Leeds. Bradford and Halifax(UK) via Teaching Personnel.
I am interested in hearing from Learning Support Assistants interested in working within SEND departments, Teaching Assistants or Classroom Assistants who are available both on a full-time and part-time basis.
Ideally, you will have experience working with children and young people, but those seeking to gain experience with strong behaviour management skills and a pro-active attitude, are encouraged to apply!
As a Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant you will support pupils in the classroom, either as a general classroom assistant or specifically working on one-to-one or small-group in the SEN department. Working as a supply Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Mentor will give you the opportunity of showcasing to the schools what you can do and it will give you the chance of securing permanent employment. You may also be required to cover the lesson in the absence of classroom teachers, so you must be confident and pro-active in your approach.
Requirements for the role:
- Degree level education or above
- DBS on the Update Service or be willing to have one
- Previous experience working with children and young people or a passion for working within education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
