Support Worker

Job description

Do you have experience as a Residential Support Worker for either children or adults and are looking to make the transition into education?

If so, Teaching Personnel would like to hear from you. We can provided you with essential advice/guidance on how your skills can be transferred into the classroom and enable you to support students with additional needs.

We are currently in search of a number of individuals to meet the below requirements of primary schools in September located in both Barnsley and Doncaster:

Barnsley – Part time (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) 1:1 support assistant for an Y5 student with low functioning Autism

Barnsley – Full time, Behavioural Specialist required working across school with a select number of students, splitting time between the students who require additional support throughout the day delivering tailored interventions that cater for specific individuals needs

Barnsley – Full time, Small nurture group Support Assistant, predominantly working with students with SEMH working alongside another Support Assistant and a group Teacher based in school

Doncaster – Full time,  1:1 Behavioural Support Assistant, supporting a student with extremely challenging behavioural traits and requires constant 1:1 support – someone with Team Teach would be desirable for this role

Doncaster – Full time, ASC support to work with a child in KS1 with a split time table part classroom based part 1:1 support outside the classroom setting

We are also interested in hearing from recent graduates who are considering teaching as a viable option after leaving University  to enrol on to our FUTURE TEACHERS Programme. We will commit to helping you receive vital school based experience whilst being paid to do so which in turn will support your PGCE/SCITT applications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later
