Special Needs Teaching Assitant

Job description

Our school caters for children age 11-19 with severe, profound and multiple learning disabilities and ASC.
Were looking to recruit individuals with classroom experience or from within a care or youth work environment, ideally working with children with disabilities.

The schools ethos is to ensure students enjoy their time at the school and progress as much as possible to prepare them for leaving school by giving them the skills necessary to support themselves. Each of their needs are different, including speech and language, physiological and behavioural alongside other learning difficulties and conditions.
The school is looking to recruit to join their team of professionals to ensure all needs are met.

The ideal requirements for a candidates would be the following;

Experience in education

Experience with SEN (SLD, PMLD, ASC)

Experience with personal care

Current DBS or willingness to obtain one

An empathetic approach to supporting children

A passion for children's learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
