Job description

I am currently working with an OUTSTANDING Primary School in Mickleover area that require an SEN Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. We have had an incredibly high volume of work from this School, so we are URGENTLY looking for staff that are available.

You will be working 1:1 with a student in Reception with mild autism. The role is full time and will be for the whole academic year.

Facilities at the School are incredibly modern, and the staff are very supportive. It is a warm and friendly environment and all the staff we have placed there have had positive experiences.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on a child’s life and is excellent experience if you are looking to work within SEN.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience with SEN - either in an education setting/ youth work setting or residential setting
  • Able to be flexible
  • Experience within Reception or KS1 is essential
  • Knowledge of phonics
  • Good behaviour management
  • A nurturing yet firm attitude

For this role you must have a Child Only DBS that is on the Update Service. You will also need to be able to provide 2 references.
