Job description

We’re looking for a Fully-Qualified Teacher, with SEMH experience to work at a specialist education provision near Ely, Cambridgeshire. The role is accessible from Downham Market, Thetford, Wisbech, March, Cambridge, Witchford, Wilburton, Haddenham, Littleport, Soham, Newmarket, Chatteris, Cottenham, Waterbeach.

View this as not just a job, but a great opportunity to make a difference as a Teacher. The pupils attending this alternate schooling provision have statements of Autism and have EHCP's in place. You can use this opportunity to build great relationships with your students and really focus on getting them engaged in their own learning and development in school, but also a brighter future once they finish.

This particular role will consist of planning and teaching lessons in line with primary curriculum to up to 8 pupils in a KS2 class. Expect to be managing very challenging behaviour on a daily basis, including both physical and verbal aggression from pupils.

Each student has individual additional needs (ADHD, SEMH, and Autism) and requires extra support, which is why you will also have teaching support staff with you in the class.

Competitive rates of pay are on offer for this challenging, but rewarding role and you should be available to work for a minimum of one school term – to start in September 2020.

Email today, to register and get the ball rolling via sophia.binns@teachingpersonnel.com with your CV. I look forward to speaking with you!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
