Job description

A suited role for a dedicated Science teacher or Science graduate looking to raise pupil attainment in the subject across KS3 & GCSE as a result of the pandemic at a larger than average secondary school. 

  • Part-time Science tutor  -  temporary role, ASAP start date
  • Jan 2021 - July 2021 in the first instance
  • Raising attainment across KS3 and GCSE Science in small groups and 1:1
  • Competitive rate of pay GBP15 - GBP30 an hour based on experience and responsibility 
  • Secondary school located in North Manchester - Modern and established secondary school situated next to great transport and road links 
  • Post available to Science teachers of all levels and Graduates with tuition experience

The successful Science tutor will be able to motivate pupils to succeed and provide a well-structured learning environment. You will be supporting students across Key Stage 3 and GCSE with Science interventions to bridge the gap in learning due to the pandemic. You will work collaboratively with the Science department to devise schemes of work and identify groups of students who require additional support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
