Teaching Personnel has a recruitment partnership with a 'good' graded school in the Southampton area that is looking for an experienced Science practitioner to join them from Easter 2019 or September 2019 as a second in charge of Science, working with their outstanding head of department.

To be considered for the role you should be able to demonstrate that you have an excellent track record of teaching and learning with an innovative approach to your pedagogy. It is important that you are able to establish good working relationships with students and communicate effectively with parents and support staff alike. The school strives to achieve the best learning opportunities for their students and are very ambitious to ensure that the life chances are enhanced.

As a Teacher of Science, you will be responsible for teaching both the KS3 and KS4 curriculum. The ability to teach confidently across Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

As a second in charge, the school would invest in your professional development to ensure that you adopt the skills and expertise required to be successful in the role. You will work collaboratively with the head of department to ensure that the curriculum is rich and cohesive. You would be required to contribute to INSET days. The Science department has recently been refurbished and all teachers are equipped in their own room with excellent resources.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
