Job description

A client school of ours is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with physical disabilities. This is a small than average sized school in Newton. When you walk into this school you can feel how warm, friendly and caring it is. The school community is dedicated to enabling students with SEN to learn, promoting their independence and helping them to achieve.

The ideal candidate will:

- have experience in Care or Education

- have patience and empathy

- be caring and able to communicate effectively with all students, staff and external agencies.

The role:

  • Starting in September for one term initially with a view to being extended for the right candidate
  • Up to £300 weekly pay
  • support students within the learning environment in order to promote each student's intellectual, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development
  • promote a caring environment and provide a high standard of care including washing, toileting and mealtime assistance
  • maintain high standards of safety and observe good practice in relation to health and safety issues, implement student's care plans and appropriately use the recording and reporting processes
