Preston Pupil Referral Unit requires Teacher - urgently!

  • Teacher who is able to deliver Science and Maths required in Preston
  • Preston Pupil Referral Unit with small class sizes
  • Negotiable rates of pay £99-149 per day

Are you a qualified Teacher who is comfortable delivering Science and Maths?

Do you have experience delivering lessons to pupils with SEMH difficulties and challenging behaviours,

If so, Teaching Personnel work closely with a Preston based Pupil Referral Unit who are seeking a strong Teacher to deliver Science and Maths to a range of pupils (aged 10-19) with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, these pupils are likely to display challenging behaviour and the candidate must be confident enough to deal with both verbal and physical agressive behaviours.

The role is full time, starting after the Easter holidays and is likely to continue until the Summer holidays - there is the potential for this position to become permanent for the right candidate.

The School is smaller than average and caters for 10-19 year olds who have a range of needs and display very challenging behaviours. The School is located in Leyland, close to Preston and has close links to public transport.

The candidate must be a qualified Teacher, have experience working with challenging pupils and be flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
