Teaching Personnel are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work in our client school.
- Full and Part Time hours available
- £60-£70 per day
- 1-1 Teaching Assistant
The school is located in the glorious greenery of the Dorset countryside with 28 acres of land for play and relaxation, the school boasts many unique facilities such as a theatre, a sports hall, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, climbing wall, multiple safe play areas and a swimming pool.

Your role will primarily involve:
Working in the residential area providing guidance, support and encouragement to young people in a variety of settings including classroom, education and off site activities
Enabling young people to develop by providing physical and emotional support
Working as part of a team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of the young people first
Important qualities of this role are being a good role model and conducting yourself in a professional manner at all times whilst on duty or representing the company at outside events.
The Person
Ability to follow a work pattern and attend work punctually and reliably
Ability to go wherever the young people do and participate and lead indoor and outdoor activities
To be able to communicate clearly and easily with young people and others in a variety of ways
Ability to form appropriate, professional relationships with young people and others involved in their care
Experience of working with children or adults with special needs would be beneficial but this is not essential. Full support can be given to those who do not have previous experience.
This Ofsted 'Good' rated private school provides care and accommodation for up to 68 children who have autistic spectrum disorder and/or learning disabilities. The service operates as a residential special school. Accommodation is provided for a number of children for 52 weeks of the year. Therefore, the service is registered as a children's home. Care is provided in 11 houses. Nine of these houses are within the grounds of the school and two houses are situated in the local community.
