We are actively seeking an intervention specialist and/or qualified HLTA, to work with pupils with SEMH, LAC, PTSD and come from abusive backgrounds (sexual, emotional and physical).
As an individual you must be resilient, patient and understanding of each pupil’s individual requirements and needs. You should have:
- You should have a Level 3 qualification or higher in Education/Special Needs, ideally HLTA.
- Excellent communication skills
- Current or previous Team Teach/Restraint training
- Experience of working in schools
- Personal or professional experience with Special Educational Needs
The role is full-time with work from 8am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday, with the opportunity of gaining a permanent contract in the future.
Class sizes are significantly smaller than they would be in a mainstream school and there is one teacher per class, with a minimum of two support staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
