Are you a recent graduate who is looking to work with young people who are disengaged from education or have special educational needs? Manchester's SEN desk at Teaching Personnel work closely with a high percentage of specialist schools and alternative provisions across Greater Manchester. These schools require enthusiastic and committed graduates to take on the role of a teaching assistant in their setting.

Whatever your preference, be it working with young people with special needs or young people with challenging behaviours, we work with a school that would suit you. We are looking for staff who are available for supply work across these schools so individuals who are flexible, eager and are looking to build experience would be ideal! Some schools cater for pupils who have been excluded from mainstream school, others for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. We also work closely with schools that cater for pupils with special educational needs and require support and assistance with personal care. These classes will provide sensory education for pupils alongside teaching life skills and independence.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
