Geography Teacher – Full-Time
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: M1 – UPS3 (in line with the national scale)

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic Geography Teacher to inspire the next generation of global citizens at a high-performing secondary school in Salford. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a subject that shapes understanding of the world, both physically and socially, in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
The incoming Geography Teacher will be teaching across Key Stage 3 and GCSE and will be expected to take on a full timetable. The successful candidate will also be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities alongside delivering lessons to meet the needs of learners at varying levels of learning ability. It will also be important to monitor and assess pupils’ progress and be able to report this back to the Geography department should it require further discussion. You will be expected to create engaging and inclusive lessons that spark curiosity and critical thinking and contribute to a vibrant Humanities faculty committed to collaboration and excellence.
Who We’re Looking For:
We welcome applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators who can bring energy, passion, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
You should have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Geography or a related field
- A strong classroom presence with effective behaviour management
- A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning
- A passion for helping students develop analytical, research, and writing skills
