Science Teacher – Secondary School (Heaton Chapel)
Start Date: September 2025 | Contract: Until Christmas | Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS)
A well-regarded secondary school in Heaton Chapel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025 on a full-time basis. This is a fixed-term contract until the end of the autumn term, ideal for teachers seeking a short-term role in a supportive environment.
The school welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs, and offers a collaborative department with excellent student engagement.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

Plan and assess lessons in line with curriculum standards

Support students of all abilities and promote progress

Contribute to the wider life of the school and Science department
Ideal Candidate:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

Ability to engage, inspire, and motivate students

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to student success

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
