Science Teacher – Secondary School (Heaton Chapel)
Start Date: September 2025 | Contract: Until Christmas | Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS)

A well-regarded secondary school in Heaton Chapel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025 on a full-time basis. This is a fixed-term contract until the end of the autumn term, ideal for teachers seeking a short-term role in a supportive environment.

The school welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs, and offers a collaborative department with excellent student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Plan and assess lessons in line with curriculum standards

  • Support students of all abilities and promote progress

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and Science department

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

  • Ability to engage, inspire, and motivate students

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to student success
