General Teaching Assistant required for Primary School in Neasden

  • £55+ per day, depending on experience
  • Outstanding Primary School with established senior leadership team
  • Full-time, term time only

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting 2x general teaching assistants for an 'Outstanding' Primary School that is situated in Neasden. This is a multi-cultural Primary School that is committed to delivering high levels of education to all pupils. This Primary School was one of the top three Primary Schools in the borough of Brent for pupil attainment in KS2. There is an excellent senior leadership team in place at the school who are happy to provide support and training to all members of staff.

The role involves assisting the classroom teacher with the preparation of class activities. You will be expected to prepare the learning materials, provide support to children who may be lagging behind the rest of the class and provide feedback to parents and staff members.

The ideal candidate:

*At least 6 months classroom based experience

*Trained in Phonics preferred, but not necessary

*Sound understanding of Phonics

*Strong literacy and numeracy skills

*Able to use initiative

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
