An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within this primary school in Denton. The students are well behaved and love coming to school, which makes the school a lovely environment to work in. Teachers and teaching assistants are passionate about their roles; they interact well with all pupils across the school.
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need to be resilient and nurturing to help this child flourish. This opportunity would be ideal for a psychology or sociology graduate looking to gain a FULL ACADEMIC YEAR of hands on experience before going on to Teacher Training or a master's degree.
Due to the severity of the child's needs, building a strong relationship with them will be key to make sure he achieves his full potential. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be working with a child in Reception who has autism, portrays challenging behaviour and has emotional needs. They will be helping him with his daily routines and will work on a 1:1 basis with him following his EHCP.
Ideal candidate:
- Must have a genuine passion for SEN particularly Autism
- You must be confident, and committed to the role
- You must be able to work within a large support tea
