Teaching Personnel have a fantastic opportunity for a Educational Support worker to work in one of our specialist schools in Torquay and its partner school in Torbay.

If you are looking to support a pupil on the 1:1 basis and have a passion for working with pupils with challenging behaviour this role could be perfect for you!

The school focuses on preparing the pupils for work and raises their Self-Esteem through a wide range of vocational activities with providers. This school provides full-time alternative education to students across Key Stage 3 and 4, with an emphasis on transition and re-engagement back into mainstream education or employment.

A typical school day would include; academic studies in the morning and vocational studies in the afternoon for example; Trip to a farm for activities including team building activities.

To be successful, you'll need:

* A Child workforce DBS, on the update service - we can support you through the process of applying for one if you do not already have one.

* Confidence in working with challenging behaviour and working with Secondary aged students * A calm, kind and caring manor about you

* Ideally, a clean UK driving License with a access to a vehicle 5 days a week

* Taking a personal interest in the learning of the pupil you'll be mentoring
