Day and Night Support Workers required

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a residential school in Lymington that cater for pupils with Autism and challenging behaviour. The school have both primary and secondary pupils with many of them staying in the residential homes on the school site. It is a very supportive school which supply training to their staff throughout their career with the company.

They are looking for Support Workers to work both day and night shifts where you would be supporting the pupils in the residential homes. This would include the following:

- running and participating in taking part in activities with the pupils

- supporting them in before and after school

- day shifts would support them during school on the breaks and sometimes in the class

- managing the behaviour of the pupils in the houses

- supporting the pupils with any issues that may arise

This would be shift work so you would need be able to commit to a variety of shifts with regards to the hours and days that they require you. This would be a long term role that would go onto their permanent contract should you get on well and enjoy it. The main requirement is that the support workers have the personality and personal approach for the young people, any experience working with Autism is an advantage.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
