Ofsted graded 'Good' school seeking Computing Teacher for permanent post, starting January 2020.

Our client school are seeking a teacher capable of teaching Computer Science (KS3/KS4) to join the school in January for a long term, full time position due to a member of staff taking an external promotion.

- Full time position teaching Computing across Key Stage 3 and 4

- Excellent facilities in modern secondary school

- Opportunity to secure permanent post after completion of successful temporary period

- Payment in line with MPS/UPS, paid weekly in arrears

- Ofsted Good School with excellent results and student behaviour

Our client school is based near Rochdale serving the catchment area of Castleton and Marland, though some students do travel from further afield including Heywood and Balderstone due to the success of the school. The school is a mixed non-selective secondary school which is slightly larger than the average, with 1100 students on roll. In 2018, the school was judged to be Good by Ofsted, across all areas except behaviour which was judged to be Outstanding. In their most recent results, the school outperformed the average of the LEA with an above average number of students making expected levels of progress.

Since the appointment of the Headteacher 5 years ago, the school has been rejuvenated and has progressed in all key performance criteria, which coupled with the excellent facilities will enable the incoming Computing teacher to create dynamic and engaging lessons for a cohort keen to learn with a passion for the subject.

The incoming Computing Teacher will be required to teach their specialist subject at KS3 and KS4 with the GCSE cohort starting in Year 10. There may be potential for the successful applicant to deliver some of the BTEC groups lessons alongside another member of staff.
