Behaviour Support Assistant - Bury

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a Secondary School in Bury aiding them in recruiting a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team for the new academic year.

If you have experience working with students who display behavioural difficulties and are looking for a new challenge, please see further information about this role below:

• Part-time Behaviour Support Assistant role available from September 2019 until the end of the academic year, with the hopes of this being extended.
• Support students who display challenging behaviour and therefore, require additional guidance academically.
• Work alongside the classroom teacher to make sure all students receive the correct support.
• Support students in small groups and occasionally on a 1:1 basis when withdrawn from lessons.
• Earn up to £350 per week, depending on previous experience.

Our client school have highlighted they would prefer candidates who have experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour or acquire skills within a similar role as this will be highly transferrable working as a Behaviour Support Assistant.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following roles and responsibilities:

• Work with challenging and disruptive behaviour.
• Provide support for pupils inside and outside the classroom who display behavioural difficulties.
• Be confident in planning and delivering interventions for students at various levels of learning ability.
• Monitor and evaluate students' progress and report this back to senior teachers.

Our client Secondary School is based in Bury and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Salford and Bolton via the M66 and A58. For applicants who do not drive, our partner school is also easily accessible via several public transportation links from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester.
