Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist SEMH School in Basingstoke to recruit a Behaviour Specialist on a full time permanent basis. The role will commence as soon as possible from application, with strong potential for a permanent contract after the initial term placement for the right candidate.

The position will involve working with a small group of students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with varying Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties who have been excluded from mainstream education. The candidate will need to be confident in managing challenging behaviour as well as being enthusiastic and a positive role model for the students!

You will be working with children from a mix of backgrounds, including children in looked after care. You will play a large role in the monitoring of students progress and development both in terms of their academic and personal achievements.

Ideally for this role, you will have extensive experience with challenging behaviour however this is not mandatory and we welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds including social and youth work.
