Catholic Primary School in need of a Year 5 SEN TA.
Support required on a 1:1 basis working alongside a child with Global Learning Delay.
Part time hours until October half term and then full time thereafter.
A large two-form entry Catholic in the heart of Burnley have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source a Year 5 1:1 SEN Support Assistant. The role will be to work on a part time basis initially up to October half term and then full time thereafter. This is a role in a top performing Catholic Primary school were teaching and learning is Outstanding and the children's behaviour is also graded as Outstanding. The recruitment for this role will be dictated by the School SENCO who is keen to meet the applying candidates to then hopefully start as soon as possible.
The child who requires support is diagnosed with Global Learning Delay and does have an Education Health and Care Plan to ensure her needs are met within school. The support will initially be to work alongside the child and the dedicated SENCO in school on the following days; Monday, Tuesday Wednesday PMS and Thursday FULL until October half term, the role will then…then the role will be full time thereafter.
The child with Global Delay possesses a range of typical needs including; poor retention; low level learning ability; social and communication needs. It is therefore important that the applying candidates have experience in working alongside children in either KS1/2 and have experience supporting Special Educational Needs.
