Teaching Assistant/Youth Worker - Tower Hamlets

An 'Outstanding' academy supporting students with special educational needs in Tower Hamlets are currently seeking to recruit a teaching assistant with experience supporting students with Autism and Challenging behaviour. The school are looking for individuals who are proactive, engaging and are able to support students using their own initiative.

Your role:

  • Supporting Autistic pupils and challenging behaviour pupils on a 1:1 basis
  • Assist classroom teachers in group activities
  • Manage behaviour disruptions in the classroom
  • Report to the class Teacher/SENCO with any safeguarding issues

About the school:

The school is based in Tower Hamlets and is easily accessible by local bus routes. They offer a range of training for career progression such as Autism Awareness, Team Teach training and Safeguarding Level 2. Working in the academy, you will have the opportunity to utilise a range of specialist equipment such as a state of the art sensory room.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
