Teaching Assistant Tameside

Tameside Academy School are looking to recruit two teaching assistants. Both of these teaching assistant positions are full time and will involve 1:1 and small group support to students who have moderate learning difficulties in the areas of ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia and social emotional mental health. Ideally the successful candidate will be able to start in May with the view of becoming a permanent member of staff in the 2019/20 academic year.

Teaching assistants will ideally have school based experience or some form of relevant experience in a health and social care youth work or coaching environment. This large academy school has 1200 students on roll across Years 7-13, with a high percentage of student's eligible for free school meals and an above average number of students who use English as an additional language.

Modern state of the art facilities and teaching aids give students the best possible platform to develop and achieve their progress targets. Located in the OL6 post code of Tameside the school can be accessed just off the M60 junction 23 or via tram and bus routes for those on public transport.
