Teaching Assistant required to work with SEN students

Job description

TA required to work under direct supervision of teaching staff to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Working predominantly with SEN pupils in both mainstream and SEN settings, with needs ranging from moderate learning difficulties to severe physical disabilities, you will:

* Supervise and support pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning

* To work with individuals or groups of children under the direction of the class teacher

* Support the teacher in managing pupil behaviour, preparing individual Education/Behaviour/Support/Mentoring plans

You must have proven experience working with children, either in Mainstream or SEN school. Applicants may also be considered with voluntary or 'life experience' within the Special Needs field. You must have a valid work visa.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
