Highly skilled SEN Teaching Assistants needed

Your opportunity

A School in Newquay is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one to one support to children with Special Educational Needs to learn effectively inside and outside of the classroom.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Special Educational Needs students and understand how to keep students engaged and motivated to achieve their potential. Successful candidates will work alongside and offer support to the Class Teacher to ensure that the students are accessing the adapted curriculum and meeting key development levels inline with EHPC’s.

What we are looking for

  • Assist in preparing the classroom, an clearing away
  • Assist in planning activities and preparing materials to help the children access the curriculum
  • Support the child in class, group and individual activities, indoors and outdoors.
  • Support the Teacher in class and activities, including during teachers PPA time
  • Assist in monitoring children's progress, assessing achievement and recording results and observations, sharing outcomes with the class teacher and other professionals

The Details

  • Hours: Full Time - Monday to Friday (8.30am – 15.30pm). Additional hours might be required occasionally for training and personal development
  • Pay: GBP60 - GBP75 a day depending on experience
  • Closing date for applications – 31/07/2020

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
