A school in Cheshire East requires a Teaching Assistant to join the team.

In order to qualify for this role, you will need:

  • A degree.
  • Experience working with children (this could be within a youth/community setting)
  • A desire to support students with additional needs (Autism, Dyslexia, Dysraxia, as well as physical disabilities)

As a Teaching Assistant, the roll will enable the applicant to obtain school based experience, at a school praised for its strong SEN Department. Working under the school SENCO, the required individual will be able to take instructions, and deliver consistent support to students. This will often be on an individual/small group basis. 

With students having now had several breaks in learning due to the ongoing pandemic, the school requires a motivated inidivudal who is able to confidnelty manage student behaviour as well as manage any pastoral issues that may arise.

The applicant will gain experience shadowing teaching staff, setting learning objectives, creating action plans as well as delivering specific targeted sessions across the subjects. Full training will be provided by the school, to ensure the individual is prepared for this position.

The school welcomes applications from graduates who are looking to enhance their school experience before a PGCE in September 2021, or 2022.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
