We are looking for Teaching Assistants to support a school with pupils aged 4-11. The pupils within this school all have an EHCP which name an additional need related to the pupils Social, Emotional, Mental Health.

The school offers a dynamic and unique curriculum which has been based on the National curriculum in order to order to fulfil the full potential of its pupils. Within the classes themselves, a group of between 8 to 11 children are supported by both a teacher and at least one teaching assistant.

Your role as a Teaching Assistant would be to support these young people throughout their school day. Tasks involved in this would be to help with lessons planned by the teacher, many of which are focussed on social development, character building and based in holistic and play Therapies.

You would be supported by not only the teacher but other support staff such as Teaching Assistants, therapists, and other specialist support.

The ideal Teaching Assistant would have:

• Experience of challenging behaviour
• Knowledge of de-escalation techniques
• A proactive and engaging personality
• Patience and Positivity

The school is based in Stretford and is easy to get to via car, bus, and tram.

The application process requires two recent and care/education-based references or evidence of other experience.

You additionally will either have a DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to get one.
