Are you an experienced Teacher/Tutor who can deliver basic Maths, English and/or Science on a 1:1 basis?
Due to the increasing number of students requiring additional support and being excluded from mainstream education, Teaching Personnel are seeking efficient and reliable Tutors across in Scarborough.
As a tutor, you would be required to work on a 1:1 basis and you should have experience of teaching Maths, English and Science from KS3 - KS4. With the majority of students under achieving, you should be capable of supporting the young person with their literacy, including writing skills and communication skills. You may be required to use different methods to engage the young person. Patients and resilience are key characteristics for the role, being able to differentiate work for differing abilities such as SEN, Behavioural Difficulties, looked after children and mental health issues.
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with several Local Education Authorities on the framework providing quality staffing provision throughout York, North Yorkshire, East Riding, Humberside and Lincolnshire.
