SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants that can support children with Autism and various learning needs. We are working with a range of schools that require SEN Teaching assistants on a long-term and short-term basis. If you have the relevant experience and feel you would be well-suited to working in an SEN provision, we want to hear from you! 

The Role:

• Working in a classroom in a small group and/or 1:1 basis
• Supporting the class teacher with carrying out lessons and activities
• Being instrumental in ensuring that children are reaching their SMART targets as set out in their EHC plans
• Demonstrating a creative approach to learning, with the understanding that not all children will be learning in the same way or at the same pace
• Liaising with the class teacher and SENCO in order to gain a full understanding of how the timetable of certain children may differ from the rest of the class
• Ensuring tasks set for children are adapted to their ability

• Previous SEN experience with children or adults who have needs such as Autism, communication needs, ADHD, Down syndrome, EBD, and physical needs
• Confident in effectively dealing with any situations
• Enthusiastic, creative and patient
• Have a flexibility to work within various classes or settings as needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
