Learning Support Assistant – Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Location: Portsmouth Area
Pay: £13.75 per hour | Term Time Only

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supporting pupils with a range of learning, behavioural, and communication needs

• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery

• Helping to maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning space

• Providing one-to-one or small group support when needed

• Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development

• Assisting with personal care or behaviour management, where appropriate

Who We're Looking For:

• Someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and young people

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A calm, patient, and adaptable approach

• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges

• Experience in an SEN or school setting is helpful but not essential – full training is provided

Role Details:

• Location: Portsmouth and surrounding areas

• Contract: Term Time Only (up to 38 weeks per year) Can be flexible working to suit your lifestyle

• Rate of Pay: £13.75 per hour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
