Job description

Supporting Children with Additional Needs

Teaching Personnel are looking for enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants to support pupils across both Primary and Secondary SEN and SEMH schools located in the Portsmouth area, to include surrounding areas such as Havant and Waterlooville.

We work closely with schools that require both short-term cover for sickness and long-term or permanent staff placements, offering you flexible opportunities to suit your availability and career goals.

We are looking for:

  • Experience supporting children or young people in an education setting, medical or youth work settings

  • A compassionate and patient approach to working with pupils who have Special Educational Needs and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

  • GCSE's, or equivalent, at pass grades in English and Maths

  • The ability to be flexible with changing needs within a classroom
  • Maintaining safeguarding protocols and procedures at all times

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
