Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking experienced SEN teachers for a temporary to permanent contract position in an innovative and multi-cultural school in West Drayton to start immediately. Being rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted for the past 3 inspections, this school is renowned for its holistic approach to the learning and development of pupils with special needs. The school based in the borough of Hillingdon provides for pupils aged 5-18 with complex learning difficulties, autism and associated behavioural needs.

This temporary to permanent position is based in the schools primary department class so knowledge of the primary curriculum is ideal. Successful applicants should ideally have teaching experience in an SEN school or provision and be confident planning and delivering lessons incorporating P Scales, PECS and sensory learning. The school offers a holistic, nurturing and collaborative environment with regular training and highly skilled support staff in class.

The school offers regular training and permanent contracts based on individual merit with a 20 working week notice period while contracts are finalised.


  • £140 - 180 per day
  • QTS, OTT, FE and EYTS qualified Teacher
  • Full-time - 5 days a week
  • Autism, complex needs and challenging behaviour
  • Primary (KS1 and KS2)
  • 6 - 8 pupils in class
  • Planning and delivering lessons in Maths, English, Science, RE and PSHE
  • P Scales national curriculum
  • Sensory learning, PECS, TEACCH and Makaton approaches
  • 2 support staff within class
