An 'Outstanding' SEN School in South West London are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants who are experienced or proven interest in supporting autism and moderate learning difficulties.

The roles are for a fixed academic year to give you the opportunity to be trained, familiarised with the pupils, education framework and understand the school ethos/ policy. After the successful completion of the academic year you will then be given opportunities to go on permanent contract.

The role is to support pupils with autism one-to-one, in small groups and generally. Successful Learning Support Assistants will be resilient, hard working and creative. With a range of sought after opportunities, training and career progression within this highly accredited school this is a great place to develop and work as part of a fun and amazing team.


  • School Direct opportunities after an academic year placement

Learning Support Assistant

  • Classes of up to 8 pupils with a teacher and additional support staff
  • Pupils within school on the autism spectrum
  • Supporting pupils with individual learning plans – Maths, English, Science and Technology, Language and Communication
  • Supporting students with Individual Behaviour plans – devised with multi-agency and in-house specialists
  • Supporting pupils in class, across the school and out of class at break times
  • Full time Monday to Friday term time only – 8.30am -3.30pm (non-negotiable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
