Working hours: 8.30am-3.30pm
Are you an enthusiastic person looking to work in a challenging and fast paced environment? Have you recently graduated from a psychology, counselling or education based course? Or have you previously worked in as a Support Worker, or in a care or similar setting? We are currently working with provisions in the Bury area who are looking for Teaching Assistants who have experience with young people with SEMH and ASC needs, and may present challenging behaviours. The work will be on a casual basis, but be looking to build towards long term and permanent positions.
The provisions
We work with provisions in the Whitefield, Radcliffe, Chesham and Bury areas. All provisions cater for children that may have been excluded from mainstream education or have additional needs such as ASC, that mean they have difficulty in adjusting to mainstream education.
The candidates
All candidates must have a Team Teach qualification or be willing to work towards one which can be provided on our CPD programmes. Due to the nature of work experience with these particular needs is essential, although you do not need to have direct experience in an education based environment. You must have or demonstrate the following skills:
- Team Teach (or a willingness to undergo team teach training)
- Experience working with adults with ASC, SEMH, or behavioural needs
- Resilient Nature
- Caring and able to empathise with young people
- Patient
- A willingness to go above and beyond expectations
What we can provide
Teaching Personnel are education specialists with 23 years experience in the field. You will be provided with your own specialist consultant who will take care of your needs and advise you through the clearing and work process. You will have access to free safeguarding training and an online diary so you can manage your work times more efficiently. You will also have access to our CPD Academy, in which you will be able to attend training courses in order to aid your personal development in your career.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
