Mental Health Support Worker
Job description
We are currently recruiting passionate and reliable Support Workers to join a specialist care setting in the Bury (BL8 2BS) area. The service provides tailored support to individuals with complex mental health needs in a secure and structured environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in care, youth work, education, or health & social care who wants to make a real difference in people’s lives. You’ll play a vital role in supporting service users with daily living, emotional regulation, and therapeutic routines in a safe and compassionate setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Providing emotional and practical support to individuals with complex needs
-
Promoting independence, dignity, and positive outcomes
-
Assisting with personal care, activities, and structured routines
-
Supporting with therapeutic interventions under clinical guidance
-
Maintaining accurate and professional documentation
-
Contributing to a safe and caring environment in line with safeguarding standards
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
Experience in a care, mental health, SEN, or youth support setting
-
A calm, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach
-
Strong communication and team-working skills
-
A willingness to undertake training (including MAPA/PBM if required)
-
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
